What Scares the FBI? April 2, 2007

Apparently it’s juries. The New York Times reports about the tug of war between those who feel that tape recording the confessions of suspects would help and the FBI, who fears it. What about the idea scares the FBI? They think that juries wouldn’t like what they consider normal interrogation techniques. I’m sorry but I have to think that recording interrogations, preferably with video, can only help in the cases where an honest confession has been made.
