Look. Someone doesn’t like Palin. Threaten them. September 14, 2008

Not everyone in Alaska is all that thrilled with Governor Palin. In fact some of them decided to hold a rally. What happened to them? A conservative talk show DJ took the contact information from the press release and read it on the air, telling his listeners to call them. The next day he had this to say.

Burke says he never told his listeners to threaten the women. He is backed up by his boss, Justin McDonald.

“I don’t think Eddie told anybody to harass anybody; he just said, ‘Hey, call and give your opinion,'” said McDonald.

But let’s be honest here. How in the universe would anyone familiar with the real world of these kind of people not expect the calls to be full of hatred, bile and threats when the encouragement to call them was accompanied by this?

“They’re a bunch of socialist maggots, that’s what I’m going to call them — socialist maggots, that’s what they are, a bunch of socialist baby-killing maggots,” said Burke.

By the way, the DJ called for a rally to counter the anti-Palin rally after stepping back a bit the next day, apparently due to bad publicity. The DJ’s crew was out numbered (Depending on your source.) by somewhere between 5 to 1 and 15 to 1.

Great story and research! Never heard it before. That kind of stuff happens, and hopefully it gets into either the press or blogger’s hands like it did this time.

Looking around the local media sites when faced with an unknown like Palin helps a whole lot.
